SONA 2018

         

               In this world full of cruel people there will always be someone who will fight for you, who will fight for your rights. We are always seeking for a change. We wanted change, always. But why is it always so hard to achieve the change we wanted and wishing for. Not until President Rodrigo Duterte made us realize that change is coming. July 23,2018 was the 3rd SONA of our President Rodrigo Duterte at Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. I admire Mr. President for being a very strong symbol of hope. He has good intentions in uniting the country.

                In his speech he mentioned some issues, first was the war on drugs, second was about the human rights, he also talked about the corruption. About the drugs issues it is surely drug dealers will finally stop what they are doing, because they surely know fully well that their business is against the law. They know the consequences of their criminal acts, especially when caught in action and it would be the reason that they will be violently resist arrest. They know that illegal drugs waste away lives, broken families, and ruin relationships. Once they are hooked, they will surely die. "Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives". -President Duterte. There are many wasted families and destroyed and this is because of the chemicals called shabu, cocaince, cannabis, and heroine. Human life is giving every person a decent future, giving their rights to live what they want, and to live their life to the fullest.  He also mentioned corruption, because of this it destroys our country, the poor suffer too much because of this corruption. Stolen wealth does not make the thief respectable. One day, thieves will be catch up by justice, someday.

                All of this will surely give us the change that we are wishing for. Trust our President's word, he can do it, he will make it. He will make our dream come true. He will do everything to improve our country so that it will be a better one. He will execute those illegal doings. Once all of these will be going to happen , there will be no more wrecked families, no more ruin relationships, and broken friendships no more. Peace is what we can achieve. Let's trust our President's word. Trust me he can do it, he will make it.

Planting Hand in Hand Makes a Dream Come True

         

           It was Saturday morning, I was on my way to my friend's house, I noticed some children's eating junk foods and drinking soda. And it really breaks my heart. I hate to see them eating unhealthy foods because me, myself prefer to eat vegetables and fruits that is why I'm healthy.

          Before, they are saying that it is better to have a clean and green surrounding. I look at my surrounding I saw scattered paper and garbage everywhere. I can't see green plants anymore. This 2018 Nutrition Month theme, "Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanihin". It says that we should plant vegetables and fruits which is good to our health. And its focuses on food production at home through family's own garden. This is food planted at home, it can be in your little backyard or farm. Having a food gardens can help a family to improve. It can be the source of your income if you have plenty of vegetables or fruit crops. Having a right nutrition is very important element in our everyday life because it is the only thing that will gave us energy so that we can perform well, we need this especially when we are attending our class in school, doing household chores, or even in your work. But were do this nutrition that we need coming from? The nutrition came from the food that we are eating. The main source of vitamins and minerals are the fruit and vegetables. But take note, not all the vegetables and fruits are healthy, because of the way that it is planted, because of non-organic planting. According to my research, the result can harm your health if you eat non-organic vegetables and fruits because there are elements that can cause harm to our body. You can plant everywhere, it is better if you have a lot where you can have a mini garden.

        We should always remember that we need to plant so that we can be able to harvest, so that in the right time, enough and right nutrition will be achieved. Stop eating not nutritious food and start planting so that in the end we can obtain a prosperous and progressive life. Life is so beautiful to be wasted. You only live once. Never mind the money because HEALTH IS WEALTH.

           I was walking again when i noticed some houses having their own mini garden. In what I saw my heart was touched, and I can see the clean and green surrounding is much better than anything. We are all in this together, always remember that once we plant in our hearts and our mind that we need it. We are all in this together , when we plant we harvest, better health we can make it. We are all in this together, it shows that when we plant hand in hand make a dream come true.

Dear President Duterte,

I am astonished on how good you are in handling our country, the Philippines. Our country may not be the best, but you are making our country a better one, a better country where we can live to the fullest, where can we able to fulfill our dreams, and everyone- especially the poor, they will be able to express themselves without fear and find their rightful place in society. You put the criminals into the jail, you put illegal drug addicts into the jail. Without your great leadership our country will not be good as what we have now. But the problem is your project that was implemented last June 30, 2016, "The Oplan Tokhang" or " The war on illegal drugs". We all know that through this project, there will be no drug addicts anymore, the crimes such as rape, holdaping and other crimes will be lessen, but we have this concern about this project that you had implemented. Because of that there are so many innocent lives, wrecked homes and destroy dreams. Mr. President we are in full support of your desire to abolish this drug problem. Like you, we want those immoral persons and groups that possibly enter our country to be found, arrested and brought to jail.

Love, Respect, and Celebrate their Sacrifices

         

              Not all the people who fight always win. In every war you don't know your destiny, you'll going to win or lose. In every war, expect that your life is in danger. Are you going to take the risk? Are you willing to sacrifice your life for the sake of others? Are you willing to sacrifice even though sacrificing your life lead you to death? Are you willing to sacrifice for the sake of your own country?

              It was June 12, 1898 when the first President of our country Emilio Aguinaldo announced the Philippines Independence after colonized by the three countries namely, America, Japan, and Spain. But how do we became free to those who colonized as. We became free because of our heroes, but what did they do? We all know that some of our heroes died using the ink and paper, and some of them also used their sword to fight from the invaders of our country. What should we do in order to show our respect to our heroes who died for us and for our country? Respecting what they did and appreciating is one of showing love to our country. Respect our flag during flag ceremony, cherish and buy some products of our own country. For us the millennial, we should study well so that we can help our country in making it a better country to live with. So that when we are professional we can contribute things that will make our country the best country. Let us all be responsible citizen so that our country will became progressive. Through this, we already showed our respect and love for our country.

              Respect and love is all we need in showing respect in the effort of our heroes who died because of wanting to become free in all the invaders who owned us and make us as their slaves. Cherish all their efforts and never forget.
